FBC Leitchfield has been a faithful client of JCA Media for several years and has had a dire need for a new PA system for quite some time. This past month, they finally got it! The former PA consisted of 6 cabinets bolted to a homemade bracket that loomed right above
the stage. There were multiple phase issues and even with six cabinets, coverage in the gym was still nothing near optimal. For a simplified, more aesthetically pleasing, incredible sounding solution, JCA chose Community Professional Loudspeakers. In addition to great sounding cabinets; Community also has very simple, rugged, clean looking hardware for them. In this installation, a bracket that held two 12” mains and one dual 12” sub fit the bill perfectly, as there was only one I-beam in the optimal hanging location. As seen in the pictures, FBC Leitchfield has their service in a gym so the less on the floor, the less there is to move. Being able to fly the sub with their mains was a huge benefit for this location. The cluster of three cabinets is actually a 12” main on each side, and a dual 12” sub in the middle. The three were hung using just two ¼” steel cables rated at 1500 lbs each, attached to two Adaptive Technologies I-beam clamps with forged eyebolts, rated at 2100 lbs each. Needless to say, this hang isn’t going anywhere. The mains and sub are all powered by one Powersoft Quattrocanali 2402 four channel amp with digital signal processing built right into the amp. Amplification, tuning and compression are all taken care of in one unit! A Powersoft Quatrocanali 1204 powers the four monitor sends. For the new audio console, JCA chose the Allen&Heath SQ-6. Paired with the SQ-6 is an AR2412 stagebox allowing 24 inputs and 12 outputs on stage and five Audio Technica 3000 series wireless finish out the system. Comments are closed.
