Our friends over at Bethel Baptist recently removed their old carpet to expose the gorgeous original hardwood floor beneath. Sadly that also made the room into an echo chamber! So we came in and installed 15 G&S Pinta panels (dry fall painted acoustic panels) to match their room and control the sound. The results were phenomenal, audibly and aesthetically!
Gyms are notorious for bad sound. When Holy Cross church decided to give their gym a makeover and have it be used for events, they reached out to us to address the audio quality and intelligibility in the space. 50 G&S panels later, and the space had transformed entirely. Before you couldn't have a conversation with someone right beside you, but after the install, you could plainly hear (and understand!) someone across the room. Check out the before and after videos below of the decay time of the room! BeforeAfterCompleted a beautiful install at Highland Park First Baptist Church this week. A full compliment of Martin Audio CDD speakers, a SXCF118 sub, and some new floorboxes to clean up the stage. A set of CDD12 mains took care of the main sanctuary, CDD5 fills worked great for the alcoves, and it’s all powered by one iKon81 amplifier. Also, Blackline X8’s and CDD5’s handle monitor duty all powered by an LEA 168! At FOH a new Allen&Heath SQ-6 was installed along with a GX4816 in the stagerack! We finalized the install with 28 acoustic panels placed around the room. The result was a beautifully smooth system in a well controlled room. Perfection!

Sadly, it only took a few meetings to realize the concrete floors, drywall walls and sloped ceilings were not conducive to intelligible speech at all. Discussions merged together and speakers at one end of the room were not understandable. To help alleviate the problem, and not break the bank, JCA installed 16 4’x4’x2” acoustic panels spaced around the room. Once completed, the difference was staggering!
Glendale Christian Church has one of the most beautiful sanctuaries JCA has had the pleasure to work in. Sadly, the acoustics of the room weren’t up to par with its looks. The
