Lebanon Baptist Church, like every other church, had to completely re-imagine their online ministry when COVID-19 struck. After multiple weeks of pre-recording their service, LBC felt that they just wanted more interaction with their congregation, and decided to take on the project of actually building a streaming studio. One where they could stream live, and if the pastor was up to the task, have Facebook open to where they could see comments in real time and be able to communicate (as much as possible that way) with anyone that had a prayer request or something that wanted to say.
Wyoming Baptist reached out to JCA with the desire to improve not only their online ministry,
but revamp and simplify what they already had in house. They already had a nice console, stagebox, and some other components needed to get their system up and running, but it needed a good cleaning up and some organization. Like many churches, COVID caused LFA to look further into their online ministry, and first on the list was upgrading their video system. LFA was just filming with one camera, but wanted to move to multiple angles, and if at all possible, add POV cameras on stage.
At the start of COVID, Cave City Christian reached out to us like many churches, ready to look into the world of streaming! After discussing the options, they decided the PTZ route was the way to go, but that was only the start. They wanted to make sure that their audio would match the quality of their new video system, but it would need some work to do that. The existing console was not user friendly, the pa had a buzz in it, and the stage was lacking connections to mic all of their instruments to get them into the stream!
If there was ever a church that used all the possible processing power in an Allen&Heath T112 iLive console, it was FCC. When the current sanctuary was built, JCA Media installed the new (at the time) Allen&Heath iLive T112 and IDR48 mixrack. Since its installation, the channel count and required outputs needed have gown tremendously, and the iLive has began to show its age. In a new era where broadcast mixes are just as important as house mixes, FCC was looking to revamp their online audio and to do that channels needed to be shared from the iLive. Because of its limited architecture and not dated OS, the time to upgrade was now. To take it’s place, JCA Media installed a new dLive S5000 console, DM64 Stagerack to handle all inputs from stage, and a DX168 and DX012 to handle all wireless and IEM’s at FOH. For broadcast, an SQ-7 took the job, and is connected to the dLive via Dante to share channels for both mixes, as well as provide the ability to record and perform virtual soundcheck. Now, the possibilities are endless.

JCA has been fortunate to install the AV systems needed for the campus, and when the new athletic facility began construction, we were called upon once again to not only install an PA system, but a flexible broadcast system with plenty of room for growth.
The J. Dan Talbott Amphitheater in My Old Kentucky Home State Park has been staging The Stephen Foster Story since 1959, and millions of people have traveled to Bardstown, Kentucky from around the state, the country, and the world to experience it.
After seeing one of our completed projects at Parkway Baptist Church in Hodgenville, KY, Pastor Mike Walker at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, KY knew JCA would be the perfect fit for their project. Pastor Walker enlisted JCA Media to get their audio system up to today’s standards and help them begin the transition into a blended worship service.
