Living Water Church has had a great ministry of feeding their congregation some breakfast on
Sunday mornings before the service. When COVID-19 struck last year that ministry was put to a halt, but the plans to expand that are and beef up other parts of their building to keep up with their ever-growing ministry were not. While making more room was the bulk of the plan, being able to hear and see what happened in the sanctuary and communicate with the building as a whole was also a priority. Here is where JCA Media came into the plan.

Living Water has been a longtime Allen&Heath fan, and not long ago upgrade their sanctuary console to the new A&H Avantis. To serve the purpose of distributed audio throughout the building, JCA decided to go with the brand-new A&H AHM-64 Matrix mixer. Not only would this do the job extremely well, but it also kept LWC’s audio gear in the same ecosystem. A total of 12 zones are fed from the AHM-64, all controlled with either IP-1 or IP-8 controllers. Each classroom can choose between a music feed, hear what’s going on in the lobby in case there is anything happening out there, or choose to hear the sanctuary feed, which is actually fed via Dante from the FOH Avantis. And maybe most important, and microphone placed in the church office can make emergency announcements to the entire building no matter what is taking place in each zone, as every one will duck at the presence of audio from that mic. Martin Audio CDD’s, Adorn pendants, or ceiling series speakers cover every zone with ease and incredible intelligibility, and just to round it out, a SX112 sub is flown in the cafeteria in case a small band or movie is shown, all of which are powered by just three Powersoft amplifiers.

​As for video, a Blackmagic 20x20 Smarthub distributes video throughout the building, and a rack mounted Mac Mini loaded with ProPresenter can be used as the central hub for announcements pumped around the building or even a presentation taking place in the cafeteria. There are even VGA and HDMI hookups in the cafeteria for guest speakers, as well as a rack mounted Blu-Ray/DVD player in case of movie nights.
