Campbellsville University has long needed a center where students could exercise, have access to a spacious gym, a walking track, or take a fitness class in a well equipped room. The new Wellness Center provided just that, plus more. CU approached JCA with not only installing PA systems thoughout the building for everyday paging and music use, but also to integrate the ability to host dinners, presentations, and more in the new gym.
JCA installed Community pendants, recessed ceiling speakers, and surface mount speakers in the juice bar, weight rooms, and workout rooms for paging and background music, but in the main area took it up a notch. Two high power Community IBoxes flown under two dual 12” high power Community Subs give the gym headroom to turn it up to 11 for any event that may happen. To match the audio, a 12,000 lumen laser, 3 chip Panasonic PT-RZ12KU projector was installed as well as a 216” diagonal 16:9 electric screen. An Allen&Heath QU-PAC mixer was installed to control the audio throughout the entire building with an extra digital snake line ran to the possible stage location for expansion. For the video, a rackmount Mac Mini was installed fully quipped with ProPresenter, Keynote, and Powerpoint ready for anything, and a Denon rack mount DVD/Blu Ray player is ready as well, both switched by a Kramer VP440-H2 switcher.
